One of the most famous restaurants in Zanzibar is The
Rock Restaurant. The Rock Restaurant is located in Michamwi, on the eastern side of Zanzibar, where the tides are more intense. The restaurant, which is in the middle of the ocean during high tide, suddenly turns into a place that can be reached by foot when the water recedes during low tide. At high tide, the restaurant can only be reached by boat.
The Rock is a restaurant that specializes in seafood. But there are many other options on the menu, from pasta to meat and chicken. We made a reservation a month in advance because there were no seats. Famous chefs, great food, great wines and a magnificent view welcome those who go. Since the water was rising on the way back, we had to walk and return by boat.. 🥰🥰🥰
